The imitations have begun.

It has been brought to our attention by a couple of awesome customers that there are some international companies claiming to sell our US Patented Soul Seats on Amazon.co.uk and TaoBao. They are even using our images, taken from our website and social media pages, which is copyright infringement. (See screenshots below.)

All Soul Seats are handcrafted in mid-Missouri by our amazing team of artisans and are only sold on our website, mysoulseat.com. Anyone claiming to sell our products on any other site does not have our authorization to do so, and our products are not eligible for resale or reproduction.

We have contacted the companies we are aware of that are selling counterfeit Soul Seats and are working on getting those listings taken down. What worries us though, is that people find these listings without knowing they are not legitimate and receive a subpar product. Since they are using our images, we have no idea what the actual product is that the customer receives.

Imitation can sometimes be the greatest form of flattery, but deception can also be very revealing. If these imitators need to use our photos, then not only may the product received be entirely different than our Soul Seat, but they may not be using sustainable materials or paying a competitive wage to the artisans making them. We’re proud of the results of treating creatives equitably and caring for our planet in the process. If you ever have access to photos of imitators, we would be curious to see them.
