Shipping & Returns

Lead time: Each new Soul Seat and Flow Desk is handcrafted and will ship within 2 weeks from the date of purchase. This production lead time is subject to vary, and we will keep you up to date on the progress of your order should this timeframe change for any reason. Accessories and Revived models ship within two weeks.

Custom orders: Custom products often take longer to ship, as we will work with you on a number of decisions about fabric, finish, and other design changes.

International shipping: Please be aware that we are unable to predict any duties and/or taxes as they are calculated upon customs arrival. We recommend contacting your local customs agency prior to shipment to determine what (if any) fees you can expect to pay.

If you do not see your country listed at checkout, please contact us through the 'Contact Us' page or email hello@ikariadesign.com to let us know your country, city, and postal code so that we may provide you with the most accurate shipping quote.

Local orders: If you live in/around Columbia, Missouri, please select the Pickup option at checkout. We offer free local delivery and pickup.

Return Policy: Our commitment to your satisfaction

Providing the best solution to your needs is our priority. We provide you with a risk-free way to determine this. Returns are accepted any time within the first 90 days of receiving your Soul Seat or Flow Desk.

If you find that the Soul Seat or Flow Desk is not the right fit for you, please let us know within 90 days of delivery. We will send you a return shipping label to be used on the original packaging material (we suggest hanging on to your box and inserts until you are sure the Soul Seat or Flow Desk is the solution for you).

No refunds or prorating after 90 days. Once we receive the product returned free of damages, we will process a full refund for shipments within the continental United States. International shipments will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

All we ask is that you let us know why it wasn't a sufficient solution so we can improve the experience for the next customer. Custom work is the only exception to this policy. Because the customized Soul Seat or Flow Desk is unique to you, all custom fees are nonrefundable.

We offer such a generous return window because it can often take people time to adjust to this new way of sitting, and we want to provide you with ample time to adjust and determine if it is right for your body.

Slipcovers: Slipcovers can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Please email hello@ikariadesign.com to request a return label.

Revived models: Our gently used products are final sale and not eligible for returns. See our BuyBack Promise if you are interested in selling your used Soul Seat or Flow Desk back to us for up to 40% of your original purchase.

Warranty

We guarantee the parts of our Soul Seat and Flow Desk for up to 3 years from the date of purchase (outside of normal wear and tear). If a component is defective or fails within that period, we ask that you contact us and we will determine a replacement or repair.

Used models are guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase.

BuyBack Promise Terms & Conditions

If a customer wishes to sell their used Soul Seat and/or Flow Desk back to Ikaria Design Company, they must follow all instructions and first complete the BuyBack Submission Form. Our team will then evaluate their submission and provide an initial estimate of payment via email based on their description and photos of their Soul Seat or Flow Desk.

The customer will then be responsible for safely shipping their Soul Seat or Flow Desk to us in Columbia, MO 65201 within 30 days of the original estimate. We reserve the right to amend our initial estimate upon physical inspection of the item. After completing the physical inspection, our team will email the customer again with a final payment decision based on the following criteria:

Payment based on the condition of the item(s):
50% of original purchase price: Like New (no scratches, blemishes, tears, stains, etc.)
40% of original purchase price: Gently Used (light wear, such as some scratches, blemishes, stains, or tears, etc.)
30% of original purchase price: Well-Loved (several scratches, blemishes, stains, or tears, etc.)

The customer will then get to choose how they wish to receive payment: either receive a mailed check, payment via PayPal, or store credit in the form of an Ikaria Design Company gift certificate. If the customer chooses to receive a gift certificate, they will receive an additional 10%. (Ex: a gift certificate for 60% of the original purchase price rather than 50%.)

The customer must be able to provide proof of the original purchase. Ikaria Design Company is not obligated to accept your used Soul Seat or Flow Desk if it does not meet our criteria or match the description provided in the submission form. Likewise, the customer is not obligated to return their Soul Seat or Flow Desk to us if they are not satisfied with the estimate provided by our team.

All items purchased from our Revived Shop (as well as Demo Soul Seats) will be eligible for a maximum payment of 40% of the original purchase price since they were already classified as Gently Used when purchased.

Currently, we are only accepting items from within the continental United States.

We are only accepting Soul Seats and Flow Desks. We will not buy back any accessories, such as Slipcovers and T-shirts.
